It is time to have more people getting a taste of this rich experiential and connecting dance form.

In Contact Improvisation the inspiration to move comes from ‘surfing our physical sensations’ and the communication through touch.
We play with giving and taking weight, reading how much we can trust ourselves and others, following & leading and lots of embodied listening.
Each dance is unique. It can be subtle, explorative, pure flow, wild, acrobatic, simple, funny, deeply connecting …

Contact Improvisation (CI) is based on a partner technique, but the dancing itself will go beyond that, allowing solos, trios and group constellations to create a whole web of interaction within the group.

The four classes will systematically build upon each other. Also for the connections and the trust in the group we’d like people to commit to all classes, with the first session as a tryout.

About Joerg:
“I have been teaching this danceform for more than 25 years on four continetns but mainly in Europe and Germany, where I had a six months training programme happening for over a decade. Release technique, Body-mind-centering, Alexander Technique, Capoeira, Axis Syllabus and other researched based movement forms have been informing my dance and teaching. Since 2020 I am living in Maleny with my wife and high shool boy, super grateful for the local community that has invited me in and supported me a lot.”
